Firstly, the pergola is the focus of our garden and patio area. It succeeded in bringing it all together as we had hoped. The shade is more than ample. I do not believe that I would change any of the specs or proportions if I had a chance to alter the order. As you can see by the shot of our boys sitting on the steps, that it worked out marvelously... All in all, we have received tons of compliments. Your attention to detail and quality construction is to be commended. Given the intricacies of this project and the need for it to be assembled, areas which were tight and snug needed squeezing here and there, but that is all. I'll be in touch soon.

Dear Max, It's funny what can happen when the three stooges set out to erect a pergola. While we were ultimately successful, the process was a bit dodgy. Of course, had we curtailed our enthusiasm and actually READ the instructions first, it would have gone a lot easier. What ever damage was done was easily mended thanks to wood glue, a couple of hidden screws and some touch up paint. I couldn't be happier with your fantastic work. From the beginning to the end of the process it was so easy, and I have admit, the pool area is so much improved with this addition. Absolutely PERFECT. I'll send photos next time the sun is out. Oh yeah, we built it in the rain and it only took about four and a half hours. Many MANY Thanks!

The Baldwin Pergola looked great at the Boston Flower Show- I overheard many wonderful compliments from people in the crowd. I just know that you'll get many orders for it- in red! Thanks for designing such a lovely structure for us.

I recently purchased a pergola kit from Baldwin Pergolas. It was a large custom pergola measuring about 16 by 36 feet. I am totally happy with the materials, workmanship, and customer support provided by Baldwin Pergolas. My wife and I were able to assemble the pergola over the course of a few days. (With a little help from two neighbors on the first day.) We found that everything fit together exactly as planned. Everyone who has seen the pergola, including our neighbors, and the building inspector (!), has been very impressed with the design of the pergola, the quality of the materials, and the precision of its construction. We love our beautiful pergola! It's exactly what we wanted and we're really enjoying it. We've planted yellow Leverkusen roses and pink lemonade honeysuckle around the posts.

I set this up by myself in two days (using sawhorses to brace the uprights) and although I'm reasonably handy, I'm no carpenter! All in all it was an excellent experience and my hat's off to you for being able to construct and ship such a good kit. Even considering the shipping costs, there is no way we could have purchased lumber and paid people to construct something like this for the same money. We're considering doing another identical unit in the opposite corner of our courtyard. Well done. And good luck in this economy!

You are wonderful. We sat in under the pergola each meal on Rosh Hashana and our guests said that they felt they were away at a beautiful restaurant or hotel!!
