I recently purchased a pergola kit from Baldwin Pergolas. It was a large custom pergola measuring about 16 by 36 feet. I am totally happy with the materials, workmanship, and customer support provided by Baldwin Pergolas. My wife and I were able to assemble the pergola over the course of a few days. (With a little help from two neighbors on the first day.) We found that everything fit together exactly as planned. Everyone who has seen the pergola, including our neighbors, and the building inspector (!), has been very impressed with the design of the pergola, the quality of the materials, and the precision of its construction. Their comments have included "beautiful", "amazing" and quite a few "wows" ! Our experience with Baldwin Pergolas has been completely positive. I set this up by myself in two days (using sawhorses to brace the uprights) and although I'm reasonably handy, I'm no carpenter! All in all it was an excellent experience and my hat's off to you for being able to construct and ship such a good kit. Even considering the shipping costs, there is no way we could have purchased lumber and paid people to construct something like this for the same money. We're considering doing another identical unit in the opposite corner of our courtyard. Well done. And good luck in this economy!

Dear Mr. Baldwin, The Pergola is everything I had hoped for and exactly what I ordered. You did an AWESOME Job and the masons are almost finished with the stone work. We love our beautiful pergola! It's exactly what we wanted and we're really enjoying it. We've planted yellow Leverkusen roses and pink lemonade honeysuckle around the posts.

We have had many positive comments on the pergola. It is a beautiful addition to the house. I am glad that we and you took the time to get the shades right. The decisions to mount the shade tracks to the inside of the beams, and to use the plexiglass section next to the house for year around cover when we are not using the shades, were just right. Feeling of pride each time I look at the finished product.

The pergola looks amazing and you and your team went above and beyond the call of duty. I just want to tell you working with you and putting up the pergola was a pleasure. It went together like a dream and you have obviously put a lot of thought into the design and the way everything fits so well. I must admit, before my neighbor approached me about this project I didn't know what a pergola was, at least not by name. Now I know and it has been great to be part of this project. Hi Max The pergola is awesome. It really fills a design flaw and completes the section of the house where it sits. We moved a table out and enjoyed dinner under the pergola facing the garden last night. You guys did a great job and the quality of your work is outstanding.
