I set this up by myself in two days (using sawhorses to brace the uprights) and although I'm reasonably handy, I'm no carpenter! All in all it was an excellent experience and my hat's off to you for being able to construct and ship such a good kit. Even considering the shipping costs, there is no way we could have purchased lumber and paid people to construct something like this for the same money. We're considering doing another identical unit in the opposite corner of our courtyard. Well done. And good luck in this economy!

Well it's up, took about 7 hours with my wife helping, it probably would have been faster without her. What can I say? Know I'm only kidding she was a big help. She really loves it. It is much nicer then we imagined. It was a very simple project everything went together perfectly. Thanks again.

Dear Max, It's funny what can happen when the three stooges set out to erect a pergola. While we were ultimately successful, the process was a bit dodgy. Of course, had we curtailed our enthusiasm and actually READ the instructions first, it would have gone a lot easier. What ever damage was done was easily mended thanks to wood glue, a couple of hidden screws and some touch up paint. I couldn't be happier with your fantastic work. From the beginning to the end of the process it was so easy, and I have admit, the pool area is so much improved with this addition. Absolutely PERFECT. I'll send photos next time the sun is out. Oh yeah, we built it in the rain and it only took about four and a half hours. Many MANY Thanks!

I will send you pictures when we get it all done. This pergola is the centerpiece of the Rosa Parks elementary school's outdoor classroom so it is a big deal to them that we are helping them out.

The pergola arrived safely, heck of a box you guys made. I fabricated the roof mounts, got the ledger installed, installed the columns and support beam - and wouldn't you know it... The rafters fit perfectly! I'd say it's a great success. 100% level and square - but took a lot of measuring. Thanks again! Chari, Thanks so much for working with us yesterday! My father dropped the chairs off to our home in Ri yesterday, and this morning we sat out there drinking our coffee discussing future home projects. Just wanted to share a photo of the chairs on our porch. We have had many positive comments on the pergola. It is a beautiful addition to the house. I am glad that we and you took the time to get the shades right. The decisions to mount the shade tracks to the inside of the beams, and to use the plexiglass section next to the house for year around cover when we are not using the shades, were just right. Feeling of pride each time I look at the finished product.
